Frequently asked questions
Have a different question and can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Reach out to our support team by sending us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
- What are shorts?
Shorts are concise texts comprised of a series of chapters that clarify the core concepts of thought-provoking books. You can read the shorts or listen to them in audio format in less than 25 minutes.
- How can I access the shorts?
After signing up with Liegent, you can easily read or listen to all shorts on your desktop or mobile device. Our mobile site is responsive with a native audio player that works just like an app. A dedicated app will become available on iOS and Android soon.
- Can I view the library?
Unlike other services, our list of titles is meticulously curated to ensure our users a unique, comprehensive, and meaningful experience. For this reason, we unfortunately cannot make our library available to the public. However, after signing up for Liegent, you will gain immediate access to the entire collection.
- How do subscriptions work?
We offer annual subscriptions with a 7-day money-back guarantee, so you can explore our service with peace of mind. You can cancel anytime during the first seven days and you'll be refunded free of charge. After the seven days, enjoy your subscription for the whole year. Your subscription will renew automatically after the year is up, or you can cancel anytime to avoid the automatic renewal.
- What about copyright?
Liegent owns all copyrights to our shorts. Our shorts are unique, individual works that convey our team's interpretation of an author's core ideas. If we use quotes and/or original covers, we do so with the publishers' and authors' consent.
- What separates Liegent from similar services?
There are other book summary services, but their libraries mostly cover mainstream literature and self-help books. Liegent was built specifically to correct for this error: to highlight topics others don't dare to touch, to only offer content that provides lasting value and intellectual enrichment, and to support open dialogue in academia, media, and politics.
This is reflected in our selection of both titles and advertisers. We work with people who value free speech and honesty over political correctness and adherence to the status quo.
